Who we work for

The right size of company for the job

We're a small team, and we like it that way. The person who quotes your job is on site doing it, and the price on the quote is the price on the invoice.

That makes us a good fit for household gardens, schools, churches and churchyards, village halls, smallholdings and small estates.

  • Straight, honest advice — including when the tree might need less work than you thought
  • Written quotes with no hidden extras
  • We turn up when we say we will
  • Site left clean — chip and logs can be left for you if you'd like them

Common questions

Things people ask us

Do I need permission to have work done on my tree?

Sometimes. If the tree has a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or you live in a conservation area, the council must be notified or asked before work goes ahead. We check this as part of every quote and can handle the application for you.

Can you work during bird nesting season?

Yes, but with care. Nesting birds are protected by law, so between roughly March and August we inspect trees and hedges before starting and will delay work if we find an active nest.

How much does tree surgery cost?

It depends on the size of the tree, how easy it is to get to, and what's around it. Small jobs can start from a couple of hundred pounds; bigger dismantles cost more. Every quote is free, written down and fixed — so you know before we start.

What happens to the wood and branches?

We chip the brash and take everything away as standard. If you'd like the logs or wood chip left for firewood or mulch, just say and we'll stack them for you.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry public liability insurance to £5 million. We're happy to show certificates before starting any job.

My neighbour's tree is overhanging my garden — what can I do?

In general you may cut back branches to your boundary, but the cuttings still belong to your neighbour and TPO rules still apply. We can advise on the best approach and, if you like, talk to your neighbour about doing the work properly from both sides.

How far do you travel?

We cover Kidderminster, Bewdley, Stourport, Worcester, Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Stourbridge, Halesowen, Bridgnorth, Tenbury Wells and the villages between. We can travel further for larger jobs, but may have to add travel expenses on top.
